Lupe Fiasco Chicago is known as a rapper, but since their debut album, Food & Liquor, as it has done much of what he has and what it says. Therefore, there should be no surprise that, like many other hip-hop artists (and like the eternal desire of some loudmouth of rap icons and fashion), Lupe has a clothing line called Trilly and truth. What may be surprising is that he and co-designer Marisol Martinez are putting together the beginnings of a high-end collection that resonate far beyond the typical fan base Fiasco.The Style Blog has an exclusive look at the first two parts of this new collection, called Junta overthrown by Trilly and truth. And although the name is a mouthful, classic leather jackets motorcycle (with a touch of camouflage) are a feast for the eyes.
Both long-sleeved version without sleeves are made in New York by Leather Coyote – a manufacturer used by some of the biggest names in fashion – and show a sense of humor that in no way obscures the attention to detail in the garments. The jackets retail for $ 4.000 and $ 3.000, respectively, which is not bad considering the best leather jackets can last a lifetime. Ousted Board is coming to RSVP Gallery of Chicago (a shop / gallery owned and operated by Don C. Kayne partner) in the next three weeks, and designers are in negotiations with several other stores.
